Hello all you blog readers today I am talking about my very funny monologue. I have learned many things from this project like I learned how to use the all mighty and useful imovie. I learned how to use different features in imovie thanks to some tutorial videos that really helped me. I learned how to make the film timeline in imovie bigger for extra precise measurement of takes, and how to make it smaller to see the whole monologue in one clump. I learned how to use timing not only in jokes but also how to use it to make my video amazing and one hundred percent accurate. Lastly I learned a few things personally about consequences like when you don't film and wait till last minute even though you have a camera, what kind of pressure that puts on you!
Padding has been a crucial part in this project, why you ask well then let me tell you reader. First off padding is basically taking your B-roll and placing it over the jump between two A-rolls to make it look more smooth. If padding was not involved you would see about one to three seconds tops in a blank screen. I don't know about you but if you had ten A-roll shots that means ten jumps that can leave a black space until ten seconds at least and thirty at most. So padding has been a very and I repeat very crucial part in this imovie project although I probably barely used padding myself.
After all this I would have to say that I have more weaknesses than strengths. First off my b-roll of course has some holes where there is nothing but me and my "A-roll". Next I have shots but one or two are to short and one my exposure is really low. I am glad I managed to get things done with what I had though, adding a effect, and two transitions one is the old closing circle seen in cartoons. My whole project could have been improved I definitely need to work on being more proactive!
